limewire is apparently known as spyware and melware and viruses. I shouldn’t use it if it has that! I need something that will download music AND I can use it for YouTube vids, which means I can drag it from the file and use it. 10 points for the answer that helps me best! Gimme some tips!

First, download iTunes from http://apple.com/itunes . There are sites that will offer free iTunes or Amazon gift cards for completing set offers, including surveys and tons of advertisements.

I use one of these sites, but there are no surveys or offers like that. Instead, it’s a search engine type thing, where sponsors pay the site for their results to appear and you in turn can get free stuff. If you are interested in this, I put a video below telling about the site. It is important to note that this is in no way immediate, this can take several weeks, however, it is only a few minutes a day of doing searches, which you probably do anyway. You can eventually redeem for iTunes cards or Amazon cards for Amazon MP3.

for example: i searched up dekapitator (its a really underground heavy metal band) and it couldn’t find it . is there a trick you can do on limewire so it can find the band and download the songs. thx !

well what i would do, is write it on google and write some of the lyrics and find out the songs name before you search it into limewire.

For example if you wanted to download taylor swift you belong with me, you would write: Taylor Swift- You belong with me…… and then it would come up. If it does say how long the song is at the bottom (information about the song) , then don’t download it.

wat files have viruses wat file types have the most wat size of files have viruses just any tips u can give me to inform me cuz im thinking of downloading limewire or frostwire for some music and movies

Files you download from strangers (IOW, ALL files you download with limewire or any other program like it) have viruses. Downloading "free" music and movies is the fastest way to destroy your computer with viruses. (If I didn’t know better [I do], I’d thing viruses were the government’s way to stop people from stealing copyrighted content. Download long enough and you WILL destroy your computer - it’s not a matter of "if" or of how to prevent it.)

i’m planning on downloading it but first i would like to know the safest way to use it. do you guys have any tips on keeping my computer virus free?

Don’t download any .exe files, make sure to run a virus scan on everything you download and you will be fine.

i want to download limelimewire but i don’t want to get any viruses on my computer or anything are there any ways i can download free virus protection against it or can u tell me tips of what kind of things to be suspicious of and what not to download and how to use it without anything happening
i understand that the program itself won’t give u viruses but the files u download can give u viruses, so in other words is their a way to identify which files are not trustworthy

just be careful about what you download. if you’re still worried then just do a scan on all the files that you download.

if you’re downloading a song they’re usually going to be from 3,000kb - 8,000kb; movies anywhere from 500mb - 1000mb, so be careful of file sizes. if you see a song you want but it says its only 50kb then its definately not a song.

i recommend not downloading any video files, or applications, those are most likely to have viruses.

I used limewire on another puter and it worked well. Got a new one and it just won’t work at all. I checked firewall and program control. It should be working, but it’s not. Is there a good alternate program, or does someone have a tip to help get this working?

If I download limewire to an external hard drive and download all the songs and load it on the external hard drive, will it work or do I have to install limewire on my laptop. I just want a seperate hard drive so that if it gets virus infected, my laptop will be safe. Is this possible? Also tips and method using limewire to be virus free will be very much appreciated. Yes you can. I have an external hard drive that i take to work with me that has all my mp3’s and personal software on and i can run them off my external hard drive through the USB port. VERY HANDY! I highly recomend getting one if you have multiple comp’s or just want more storage space without upgrading your comp with a bigger HD.

P.S. You should have the exact same virus protection on your external hard drive as you do on the computer you are running it off of….. it is simply a storage device only, you still use the computers CPU to do all the computing!

My girlfriend tricked me into getting LimeWire and downloading songs for her. Now that I’ve found out about limewire, I need a Virus scanner. D:

I wouldnt trust any iPod software from limewire.

Just open the iTunes Store and you can buy games for $4.99 a pop. They are nice games too.

I bought the Texas Hold ‘Em game and its actually a good game of poker….. Not like most computer poker games.
