When I start a search for files, a box pops up says that says that limewire is currently connecting to the network and my search results may be limited until I am connected.
How do I fix this?

You have a problem with your firewall.
Click on ‘Start’at the bottom taskbar.
then go to ‘control panel’.
then click ’security’.
then ‘allow a program through firwall’.
and choose limewire.

ive been told that you can scan a song for viruses. and i dont know how so i just need to know so i dont get a virus on my new computer

How about you just buy the Artists so that they can make a living, not steal them…

It comes up with the box to double click to download, but when i do it doesnt complete the installation… Help?!

Well to tell you the truth, you dont need to download limewireto your Mac. Terrible idea because limewire is a P2P program, Also known as a file sharing program. And with a P2P program, people can upload WHATEVER they want, including virus infected files, therefore if you would like to get limewire, I would HIGHLY reccomend doing it on an old computer which you never really use that much and keep your Mac clean because it WILL MOST LIKELY give you a virus. Where can I go to get Limewire Basic (free)? Everywhere I go there is limewire pro which you have to pay for. I can’t find just Basic anywhere. It talked about it on the limewire site but had nowhere to download the Basic just the Pro.

Don’t use LimeWire. It’s full of viruses and the music organization and format is horrible. (Not to mention some if the bit rates.)

I’d suggest learning how to use torrents instead. You can preview your download to make sure there are no viruses and can view user comments (Only on some sites) to make sure the torrent is good.

The true answer is i dont know… alot of p2p software is changhing to pay to dl (download). You can be sure that as soon as one p2p app goes down another will come up. DONT buy limewire pro its the same program still all the ads and doesnt work any better.

You can’t really download specific clips off limewire.. But if you find a video you like on youtube and wanna download it, use this site.

You can just crop out the parts you don’t like cause if you use limewire to download it you’re gonna have to download the whole movie first haha and that takes a lot of time!

You can’t really make your downloads go faster, it depends on the amount of hosts.
Hosts are people that upload the file to your computer. Pretty much what happens with a p2p (peer to peer) application like limewire, is that your computer connects to the computer of the person who has the file, and he uploads it to you.

I try to download the free software and after doing so. and running it. Apears a window that says that its trying to connect but it never does. (is it a firewall my problem?. don’t know how to go around it or if I should even try to do it). It also seems to disconect the internet because once I install it, I can’t even conect to my search engine. so if anybody can help me please. I’m kinda new in all of this about computers so some steps in how to join the rest of the music lovers ( downloders ) will be great. thanks everybody.
