Well to tell you the truth, you dont need to download limewireto your Mac. Terrible idea because limewire is a P2P program, Also known as a file sharing program. And with a P2P program, people can upload WHATEVER they want, including virus infected files, therefore if you would like to get limewire, I would HIGHLY reccomend doing it on an old computer which you never really use that much and keep your Mac clean because it WILL MOST LIKELY give you a virus. It is important to note that this is in no way immediate, this can take several weeks, however, it is only a few minutes a day of doing searches, which you probably do anyway. You can eventually redeem for iTunes cards or Amazon cards for Amazon MP3.

for example: i searched up dekapitator (its a really underground heavy metal band) and it couldn’t find it . is there a trick you can do on limewire so it can find the band and download the songs. thx !

well what i would do, is write it on google and write some of the lyrics and find out the songs name before you search it into limewire.

For example if you wanted to download taylor swift you belong with me, you would write: Taylor Swift- You belong with me…… and then it would come up. If it does say how long the song is at the bottom (information about the song) , then don’t download it.

Well, you can download Frostwire, which is nearly identical to limewire pro (except it is free); or you can download limelimewire Pro off Limewire.

I looked on the web page and the latest they go is XP but I know it works on Vista

Vista and 7 are based on the same platform. So Yes.

My computer recently had to get a new motherboard, so everything on my computer is erased. But now, I’ve reinstalled everything and it’s all good - the only thing I forget how to do is make my limewire downloads go straight into my iTunes like it did before my motherboard got replaced… how do I do this?
I have the latest versions of both Limewire & iTunes.

I typed in lime wire pro in the programs search and then there was a whole buch of limewire programs that came up. Please tell me which one i click on and thenonce it downloads how and where will i be able to access it.

You would download the one that is closest in size to the free version. About 4mb if i recall right. It will be stored in the folder that you directed Limewire to save downloads in. Dont forget to scan the file for viruses and malware before trying to extract/install.

I have alot of really big downloads going on my old computer, and I want to pick them up where I left off on my new computer. Is there a way I can save them, move them and get my limewire to start downloading them again where I left off? If so, how?

Just copy both the .torrent file and the one you’re downloading, and do something like "Force recheck". It should compare what you’ve downloaded with what it is supposed to get, and mark all the pieces you’ve already downloaded as finished.

Files you download from strangers (IOW, ALL files you download with limewire or any other program like it) have viruses. Downloading "free" music and movies is the fastest way to destroy your computer with viruses. (If I didn’t know better [I do], I’d thing viruses were the government’s way to stop people from stealing copyrighted content. Download long enough and you WILL destroy your computer - it’s not a matter of "if" or of how to prevent it.)
