Your probably is you might be downloading too much but not paying back by uploading..click on library > shared folder > configure > add > browse for an audio or movie file that you have ripped from a legal purchased cd/dvd, don't add a torrent or else you will get a security warning…..but unfortunately you cant connect, the only option is to uninstall it for a few days.
I got caught by my school for using limewire and downloading for free. I was wondering if limewire pro (since you have to pay $34.00 to download it) is legal or will i still get in trouble if some company finds my ip address?
Limewire in theory is legal, however, what the program is used for is illegal.
Legal Limewire:
Example: If you were to create a powerpoint document and want to send it to so-and-so over a P2P server, limewire is legal
Illegal Limewire:
If you were to download any games, music, programs, videos, or any other copyrighted item without a written liscense to obtain it by the copyright holder, it is illegal. You may have payed for the program, but you did not pay for the content provided on the servers.
If a company pursues you, they can get a John Doe Warrant for your arrest, in which they would contact your school's ISP, the ISP would give the information of the School, the school would give yopur information, and you could be arrested.
Also, by taking Limewire to your school, you have broken the copyright laws on the program itself. When purchasing a program, you are paying for 1 license to place on YOUR OWN computers. It is illegal for you to copy, distribute, or sell the program to any other computer that you do not personally own, whether for money or not.

Yes I have gotten viruses. Try downloading music from either www.airmp3.org or www.seekasong.com. They are free and do not give viruses but the problem is they don't have every song you might be looking for.
