limewire consumes lot of RAM.. is there any other program

i use frostwire, and now theres a new program out called qtrax try either of them, oh and the people who answered with its illegal so wat everyone uses it, if the cops were gonna get u for it they might as well arrest everyone who has the internet

i have lime wire and when i use it for i-tunes it says my limewire list but i want to make it so i can transfer all limewhire songs to my i-pod please help, also any tips about limewire or great ways to make my computer go faster?

you can NOT directly transfer songs from limewire to your ipod.

however, you can do this:

open up i-tunes, go to file > add file to library > and locate the folder where your limewire music is located. this is usually in C:/Documents and Settings/(your user name)/Shared.

now, select the songs that you want, and have them added to your itunes library. after that, simply connect your ipod and transfer songs by drag/drop in itunes.

when using lime wire how come it says MPG and MOV and AVI and what do they mean? and how come when i download avi it doesnt work what is up eith that so please help

I deleted the program and every single file related to it. There is no limewire folder containing my music. However, there is still a playlist that shows up under 'shared' that is titled "(my name)'s LimeWire Tunes" that contains the three songs I once uploaded from limewire. The songs won't play because they have long since been deleted.

The same thing happened to me. When you installed lime wire, you agreed to share the files throughout your computer. Un share these files and you should be good. You may have to restart your computer for this to be taken into action..

I use lime wire, but i'm experimenting different programs to see which ones better. there are going to be many jerks out there who want to give you a virus, but here are ways you can 90% of the time prevent them…

1.) Its best you dont download movies of limewire; be safe, and just dont do it.
2.) Never download files that say "CD Quality." They may be clean, but alot of them have viruses.
3.) Only download a song that is 3,000KB or larger, because viruses are small.
4.) Only download music with a MP3 label, zip files are dangerous sometimes
5.) Try to download songs with capital letters and proper grammar and spacing
6.) When a song is half way downloaded, click on it to see how it sounds, if the sound is blank, right click on it right away and CANCEL THE DOWNLOAD ASAP. it has a virus!!!
7.) Always have a virus protection with an on-scanner. I recomend avast! home edition. works for me everytime.
